Program overview

Each university will have atleast one team participate in the Data Challenge. Our Corporate data partner will present students with a data set and a real-world data question. Each team will clean and analyze the data. They will be tasked to present their findings to a panel of judges. Each team will be judged on their ability to communicate effectively, the quality of their presentation, and their ability to provide the business with solutions.

Students have the opportunity to…

  • apply what they learned in the classroom and to apply it to a real-world problem
  • sharpen their data analytic skills
  • receive valuable feedback from leading corporate/government executives
  • resume booster
  • opportunity of an internship "for a day"
  • gain recognition and win money!

Incentives matter here at The Econ Games. We are happy that our sponsors, STATA, UK Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise and the NKU Center for Economic Education are providing prize money to the top 3 teams!

First $1,500

Second $1,000

Third $500
